Patient's vision leads to gastric cancer program

The Jerome F. Williams Gastric Cancer Program was established at the hospital's Van Elslander Cancer Center because of the vision of one patient, Jerry Williams, his wife Anne Marie and their physician Richard Berri, MD.  Sharing a passion to provide a place of encouragement, strength and healing of body, mind and soul, they wanted to create this patient-centered program to help families facing cancer. Valade gifts support heart care and more

Patients who come to Ascension St. John Hospital for heart care have access to advanced technology and state-of-the-art facilities thanks in large part to Gretchen C. Valade's exceptional gifts. Gretchen has donated significant funds for a new Electrophysiology Lab and cutting-edge technology, a Cardiovascular Hybrid Operating Room, an endowment for the Structural and Endovascular Heart Program and much more. Mary Ann Van Elslander NICU enhances environment

With the support of more than 600 donors, the Mary Ann Elslander Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Special Care Nursery at Ascension St. John Hospital was renovated and expanded to provide premature and critically ill infants with expert care in an enhanced environment with the latest technology. Babies and moms gain enhanced care environment

 

Families cared for in the Birthing Center and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Ascension St. John Hospital are benefiting from a $1 million gift from the Tersigni Family Foundation. One quarter of the gift is designated for technology and equipment for the newly renovated NICU. The remaining $750,000 is enhancing the Birthing Center; funds helped modernize the family waiting area and provide furnishings including recliners, rockers, folding chairs and tables. Read more...

Senior care and community campus supported by Wilson gifts

Senior citizens will receive enhanced care specially dedicated to their needs, thanks to the Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Foundation, which has awarded two grants totaling $2 million to Ascension St. John Hospital. The donations are supporting The Wilson Center: Senior Resources for Independent Living and the Acute Care of the Elderly Unit. Read more...

To honor Marson Ma Jr., MD, and his passion for teaching, Robert Takla, MD, and his colleagues established an endowment in Dr. Ma's name. The endowment provides support for education and training of Emergency Medicine residents and physicians while leaving a tribute to Dr. Ma. Read more... 

Building named for Bolls' longtime generosity

Professional Building One was named in honor of John and Marlene Boll in recognition of their longtime philanthropic support and personal involvement in a wide range of leadership roles for the hospital. Read more...

Blatt Endoscopy area has enhanced space, technology

The Elaine E. Blatt Endoscopy Department was made possible by philanthropic support totaling more than $2.3 million and a capital investment of $1.5 million from the health system. The Blatt family donated the lead gift of $1 million in honor of their family matriarch. Read more...

Cracchiolo family supports Birthing Center, Rehab Center 

The Peter J. and Constance M. Cracchiolo Foundation made a leadership gift for the renovation of The Cracchiolo Family Birthing Center as a way for the family to commemorate their late parents, who had a strong faith and commitment to family. In addition, the family foundation also supported the creation of the Cracchiolo Inpatient Rehabilitation Center. Read more...
