Providence Golf Classic
The Providence Golf Classic offers an excellent opportunity to network and enjoy camaraderie as your golf cart graces one of the top 100 classic courses in America. Indianwood Golf and Country Club features two courses: the Old Course, which hosted the 2012 U.S. Senior Open, and the New Course, a regulation-length course designed by Robert E. Cupp. Golfers enjoy breakfast and the qualifying round of the putting contest in the morning before hitting the course. Rain or shine, business leaders and physicians interact during an 18-hole scramble, enjoying lunch at the halfway house, post-golf cocktail reception, a buffet dinner and raffle prizes!
Back by popular demand, all golfers will receive a pair of FootJoy golf shoes as their gift in honor of our 40th Anniversary.
This year’s proceeds will support our Care of the Poor programs that include the Believe in Miracles Fund and Infant Mortality Program.
- The Believe in Miracles Fund helps cancer patients struggling with financial burdens by providing direct financial assistance for essential living needs during oncology treatment. It assists families with transportation costs, rent/mortgage assistance, utility bills and more.
- Our Infant Mortality Program assists low-income expectant parents with guidance, direction and support to promote healthy families and improve parenting skills. It empowers families to help themselves by making a connection with mothers, fathers and family members to build and sustain families, reducing the infant mortality rate, promoting literacy and increasing access to healthcare. Each year, 300 to 400 families are assisted and over 2,000 healthy babies have been born to families served by this free program.
