Building named for Bolls

Professional Building One (PBI) on the campus of Ascension St. John Hospital was named in honor of John and Marlene Boll in recognition of their longtime philanthropic support and personal involvement in a wide range of leadership roles for the hospital.

Over the years, the Bolls have invested their time, talent and resources in the hospital to ensure citizens in our community and throughout the metro area receive the highest quality care available. They have contributed major gifts to support the expansion project, the cancer center and The Suites.

“Because of the Bolls’ faith in our ministry, we can be a source of comfort, healing and hope to hundreds of thousands of people across the region every year,” said Jean Meyer, President and Chief Operating Officer of Ascension Michigan.

New exterior signage was added to PBI to reflect the Boll name, and the front entrance and lobby were renovated to make the area more open and brighter and provide a welcoming, healing environment for patients, visitors and associates. The reception desk was repositioned in front of the staircase, new tile was installed and finishing work on the elevators was enhanced to include maple wood paneling and black tile.

This important ‘front door’ to the hospital through the Boll Professional Building One provides a beautiful first impression for thousands of patients and their families as they begin their healing journey.
